In May of 2001, motorsports legend Tony Stewart pulled off an incredible double, competing in both the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR® race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Indianapolis 500 on the same day and completing all 1,100 miles of both races.
To commemorate Stewart’s accomplishment in 2001, one of the cars he currently co-owns in the NASCAR Cup Series® will be sporting a tribute paint scheme in the 2022 Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Stewart-Haas Racing driver Chase Briscoe’s No. 14 Mahindra Tractors Ford Mustang will sport a livery that flashes back to the look Stewart had on his open-wheel car during the 2001 Indianapolis 500.
Now Lionel Racing – The Official Die-cast of NASCAR® – is offering Briscoe’s No. 14 Mahindra Tractors Throwback Ford Mustang for order. Produced on the company’s new Next Gen Ford tool, each 1:24-scale replica is available in two different trim levels – an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) hood-open model and a fully die-cast ELITE version that is built with an opening hood and trunk.
The ELITE also boasts a chassis plate that can be removed to reveal authentic undercarriage detail. Plus, each die-cast features rolling Goodyear tires, working suspension, hand-placed decals, and more. A plated 1:24-scale model and a newly tooled 1:64-scale version are also available.
Only a limited number of this throwback die-cast will be produced, so don’t delay. Reserve yours now!
